Final service for 2418 Panola Road location. Services included a historical service to include oil lamps instead of lights and a ccapella instead of music. Men wore overalls or jeans and sat on the left side of the church. Women wore old clothes or all white and sat on the right side of the church. There were no printed programs. Ushers sat congregation from the front to the back. Offering plate was passed instead of congregation marching. The congregation place 25 cents in the pan the first time and passed the pans on the second time. Everyone exited at the rear of the church following services. |
